Job Opening in Chicago, IL for Civil Engineer II Transportation Engineering

Ardmore Roderick is seeking a
Civil Engineer II Transportation Engineeringto assist in the preparation of Phase I (preliminary engineering, reports and studies) and Phase II (contract plans, specifications and estimates) for various transportation projects.
The successful candidate shall possess and demonstrate the following qualifications:
- 4-6 years of design experience
- I.T. certification (passed the FE exam)
- Proficiency with MicroStation and/or Geopak
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- Experience with any of the following: roadway geometrics, drainage design, traffic studies, signal design, hydraulic design (IDOT, CDOT and/or Illinois Tollway preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Other valued qualifications include:
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS platforms
- Experience with HCS 2010, GuidSign, Open Roads Designer or AutoTurn
- Experience with managing small teams or projects
