How To Choose Perfect Career !

Choosing Perfect Career is hectic hunt when someone ask ‘What do you want to be ?’

Was an easy question to answer when you were a child. Astronaut, fireman, doctor. But really, you didn’t have to plan anything until you left college. In today’s globalized and fast-paced economy, choosing your career early and creating a plan is becoming more and more important. It has become critical for students to possess the right qualifications and skills to compete for the most lucrative jobs; everyone is becoming smarter and more aware of what it takes to succeed.

Having an perfect career is a dream for all. For those, who are standing on the threshold of stepping into the corporate world and the ones in it facing a constant pressure to perform. Building a perfect career is like building your home when designing a dream home, we do adjust with the requirements of our family.

Let us list down a few areas where we need to divide our expectations into categories of- Must Have, Don’t Want, Delightful and Entertaining.
  • The perfect career or job is the one in which you’re using the skills you enjoy. But, not every job needs to address all of your passions. Use every job as an opportunity to learn something new and keep an open mind; you may find that you really enjoy something you never imagined would appeal to you.
  • The kind of work you want to do. The designation or position you want to work at. This is an absolute directive of your capabilities in terms of your educational qualification and post experience.
  • Don’t take yourself (or your career) too seriously. Plenty of brilliant people started out in jobs they hated or took paths that weren’t right at the beginning of their careers.
  • Also mention what kind of fun you prefer in the workplace. Or you just want to work and get home! Be sure as this can lead to monotony and depression.
  • Work harder than everyone under you or above you. Nothing commands respect more than a good work ethic.
  • If other benefits like health insurance, one day working from home, 9 to 6 working hours, 10 days vacation every year (with pay) are attractive to you or larger salary for endless work hours 6 days a week and work from home on Sundays??
  • Culture and people in the workplace. We can’t change these factors but can decide not to work in a place where it’s not comfortable. Emotional analyses of one’s own self is also a must if you want to do well in your profession! It will give you an insight into your shortfalls and help you improve.
